About Us
Our vision is to solve perceptual intelligence and enable systems that advance it in humans. Our mission is twofold: map the latent space of perceptual diversity and development, and build a Perceptual Intelligence Layer for AI — giving systems the ability to understand and expand the human minds they serve.

Patricia is passionate about decoding human perception. Her lifelong inquiry into consciousness and personal health experiences fuel her mission. Before founding Amalie, Patricia worked as a Data and Machine Learning Scientist at companies like Daimler, Google, Boehringer Ingelheim, and several Berlin startups. She holds a Bachelor in Mathematics and a Master in Statistics from the Technical and Humboldt University of Berlin. Patricia combines mathematical rigour with deep perceptual sensitivity — the analytical foundation to formalise what most frameworks leave unmeasured, and the embodied understanding of why it matters.

Research & Technology
Starting to code at the age of 8, Jan lives and breathes technology and science. Fascinated by the differences between machine and human intelligence, he is a Bayesian thinker who developed his own Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm for Bayesian inference and reasoning. Jan co-founded and served as CTO for several machine learning companies and holds a Master’s in Mathematics from the Technical University of Berlin, where he was part of the renowned Machine Learning Group. He enjoys daily long walks to reflect and find inspiration.
"My methods are really methods of working and thinking.
This is why they have crept in everywhere anonymously"
